She
is a funny soprano and part-time commedienne who realized from her
children's friends and classmates that somewhere along the line,
families stopped singing......and since then, she has worked to
reintroduce singing and folk music to families, one concert, CD,
and cable/broadband show at a time.
In
addition to singing and working with kids, she is working with "older
kids" (undergrad and grad students) over at UCLA
Anderson School in media as her seventh
career and has begun an eighth career producing
and hosting in cable and broadband TV shows for families about
music and about incorporating healthy technologies in their lives
(www.how2kids.com).

Mike Salas, a long-time singer-songwriter in the Los Angeles area,
sometimes joins in Gigi's folk adventures as guitar and straight
man. He's been a kindergarten teacher who has been heavily
involved in area music for many years. He's also a recurring
guest on KCET's
A Place of Our Own for two seasons.
